Provenance: Commission by the American National Hunt owner Peter S Thompson. The scene is the parade ring at Cheltenham. The featured horse carries the colours of Mr Thompson, white, black hoop and armlets, red cap, and is attended by the trainer John Webber. The horse is probably Mr Thompson's fine long-distance steeplechaser Knock Hill, who won four times at Cheltenham.
