The winning jockey’s trophy presented to Pat Eddery for the victory on Hot Touch in the 1983 Dante Stakes at York, In the form of a brass & glass housed carriage clock by Shortland Bowen, the reverse with plaque inscribed with race details, height 11.5cm. Hot Touch was an Irish-bred bay colt (1980) by Moulton out of Fairly Hot (Sir Ivor). He was owned by Mr E B Moller and trained by Geoff Wragg at the Abington Place Stables in Newmarket in the first season since he took over the licence from his father Harry Wragg. He also won The Derby in his first training season with Teenoso. Pat Eddery won the Dante Stakes six times between Beldale Flutter in 1981 and Tenby in 1993, including Red Glow in 1988 (see lot 227).
