Original watercolour design for a presentation football shield to commemorate William Pickford's 40 years Membership of the Hampshire F.A. Council in 1928, watercolour, pen and ink drawing of the presentation shield with central vignette of a football match, with inscribed shield PRESENTED TO MR WILLIAM PICKFORD, SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, HON. TREASURER HAMPSHIRE FA, 28TH APRIL 1928, UPON COMPLETION OF 40 YEARS MEMBERSHIP OF THE COUNCIL 1887 - 1927, mounted, glazed and framed, overall 52 by 47cm. The design was for the Pickford Shield trophy, a Hampshire Schoolboy football competition. Please be aware all glass will be removed from framed and glazed items prior to posting and may result in delays to shipping your items. (This service is included in the cost of postage and packing).
