A .750 Continental gold 1966 World Cup Winners Medal by Peka, 20 grams, 3.5 by 2.5cm, the obverse inscribed F.I.F.A., the reverse inscribed World Championship, Jules Rimet Cup, In England, 1966, in original box with gilt-lettering, WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, JULES RIMET CUP, 1966 IN ENGLAND, the interior of the box stamped PAUL KRAMER, medailleur, NEUCHATEL, the underside with white sticker and inscribed in ink H.H. Cavan The above medal was presented to Harry Cavan, Vice-President of FIFA from 1960 to 1980 and Senior Vice-President from 1980-1990. He also served in the Organising Committees for all World Cup from 1966 to 1990 Harry Hartrick Cavan CBE will be best remembered for his distinguished role in representing the British Football Associations as a Vice-President of the FIFA Executive Committee from 1960 to 1980. However, prior to that role he was established as the president of the Irish football Association which began in 1958 and continue until 1994. In 1980 he was elevated to Senior Vice-President which he did for a decade. Serving in various Committees, most notably the World Cup organising Committees for the finals starting in England, 1966 and ending with the Italia '90.
