Henry Coller (British, 1886-1956), Surrey and England cricketers Jack Hobbs and Herbert Sutcliffe watercolour, dated 1938, watercolour and charcoal drawing of the two cricketers coming out to bat, signed lower left margin by artist and dedicated "To Jack Hobbs with the artist's compliments Dec., 1938", glazed and framed, overall 47 by 36cm. This work was possibly drawn earlier as in the late 1920s a series of photolithographs appeared in the Piccadilly Magazine, drawn by Henry Coller, a similar example was published in London on 18th May 1929. Coller was a commercial artist and illustrator who specialised in sportsmen and men's fashion. All glass will be removed from framed and glazed items prior to posting and may result in delays to shipping your items. (This service is included in the cost of postage and packing).
