A handwritten letter from Manchester United's Bobby Charlton to Molly Leech Fiancée of Duncan Edwards dated 17th February 1958, complete with original envelope postmarked Ashington, Northumberland, Bobby explaining to Molly that he had a good journey home, that he had not heard anything about Duncan and telling Molly how much he wants him "up and about", Charlton further explaining that trainer Jimmy Murphy had told him to go straight home and that he had been receiving a lot of visitors and well wishers, the letter further emphasising how "everyone up home wants Duncan to get better so will him so", Bobby signing off "yours always, keep your chin up Molly, Bobby xx", two-pages of lined paper, black ink Lots 669 to 710 Provenance: The Molly Leech Collection.
