Two handwritten letters from Duncan Edwards of Manchester United and England to his fiancée Molly Leech and relating to his time of National Service, both on hotel notepaper in blue ink, with original envelopes addressed to Miss M Leech, 32 Manly Road, Sale, postmarked 2nd & 29th November 1955, one letter commencing Dear Molly and the other Dear Pet, subjects relating to a film Duncan had seen and the other about arriving in London to play Chelsea; sold together with an invitation to Duncan and Molly to attend a wedding reception, 28th January 1956 complete with original envelope, (6) Although National Service was compulsory at this time, Edwards was allowed leave to play in football matches.
