Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games commemorative silk scarf sold with programmes for the 1956 and 1964 Summer Games, 42 by 42cm. white and blue coloured scarf, the central square featuring a map of Australia with Olympic Games torch, rings and OLYMPIC GAMES MELBOURNE 1956, surrounded by 12 roundels featuring the events in the games and four shields featuring the native Australian animals, in good condition with little wear, although very thin hence fragile; 10-page programme for Association Football first round programme from Saturday 24th November to Tuesday 27th November 1956; 20-page programme for the Football Final USSR v Yugoslavia and the Closing Ceremony on Saturday 8th December 1956 at 2:15pm, both in excellent condition; sold with 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games Opening and Closing ceremony programmes, 40-page Opening Ceremony programme with cover, 10th October 1964, and 64-page Closing Ceremony programme with cover 24th October 1964, each with text in Japanese, English and French, both in good condition with minor wear to cover spines, (5)
