An unusual group of racecourse badges, comprising a rare cased matched pair of Sandown Park gilt-metal & white enamel member's badges for 1886 (the year the Eclipse Stakes was first run), by H. Lewis, New Bond Street, London; a curious brass and blue enamel button badge inscribed SANDOWN PARK and numbered 97, issue unknown, possibky a bookmaker's pitch badge; an unusual overseas member's badge for the Mauritius Turf Club, the date of 1812 refers to the inauguration of Champ de Mars Racecourse, the MTC is the oldest horse-racing club in the Southern Hemisphere; and two cardboard day badges for the Societe Hippique De Carpentras, dated 23rd April 1893 and 22nd April 1894
