Racing plate worn by Tirol when winning the Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh on 5th May 1990, of typical form in lightweight aluminium with single nail, sold with a letter of provenance from the Richard Hannon Ltd stable, signed by Elizabeth Hannon. Tirol a dual winner of the 2000 guineas at Newmarket and the Curragh, ridden by racing legend Mick Kinane and trained by Richard Hannon. Tirol passed away in 2007 and was described by Richard Hannon as 'one of the best horses he's ever had here. We always held him in high regard as he was a good sound horse and had a very good turn of foot'.
