Arthur Ferrier (Scottish, 1891-1973) Tottenham Hotspur v Portsmouth League Champions 1949-50 artwork, depicting both team player profiles on a pitch with player names, signed lower right, mounted, glazed and framed, overall 54 by 68cm. Portsmouth were 1st division champions and Tottenham Hotspur were 2nd division champions season 1949-50. Possibly artwork for a football handbook or magazine, Arthur Ferrier an illustrator and cartoonist contributed to newspapers and magazines including Daily Record, Punch Sunday Pictorial and London Opinion.
