Official pennant presented by the Italian F.A. on the occasion of England's first ever U-23 international match, played in Bologna 20th January 1954, large pennant green satin ground with silk work Italian crest and gilt wire inscription, original hanging bar, 56 by 40cm., in original plastic covering; sold with photocopied picture of the England line-up for the match, (2) The young England team were defeated 3-0 by the Italian opposition. The goal scorers were Virgili, Pivatelli and Salvioni. The England team included three 'Busby Babes' Wood, Whitefoot and Edwards.
