Blue England cap awarded to Arsenal's Cliff Bastin for the the 1938 Continental tour and covering games against Germany, Switzerland and France, bearing the England rose and CONTINENTAL TOUR 1938 in gilt thread, good condition, sold with eight-page itinerary booklet with blue ribbon, bears slight wear and staining, (2) Cliff Bastin scored in all three tour matches including the notorious fixture against Germany in the Olympic Stadium, Berlin. England defeated Germany 6-3, on 14th May 1938 at Olympiastadion, with Cliff Bastin scoring one of the goals. Switzerland defeated England 2-1, on 21st May 1938 at Hardturm Stadium, with Cliff Bastin scoring a penalty. England defeated France 4-2, on 26th May at Stade Olympique Yves-du-Manoir, with Cliff Bastin scoring a penalty.
