Very scarce official programme for the 33rd Annual Golden Gloves Finals at Chicago Stadium, 9th March 1960 and representing the earliest known fight programme for Cassius Clay who fought and won the heavyweight division title in this prestigious amateur boxing event, in very good condition The Louisville Kentucky team including eighteen year old Cassius Clay, Rudy Clay, Jimmy Ellis and others. The team are picture on p.50 and Clay personally is featured on p.48. Clay won the competition on his way to the Olympics trials and eventually a gold medal in Rome.
