Johan Cruyff yellow Barcelona No.9 jersey from the 1976 UEFA Cup Semi-Final second leg match against Liverpool at Anfield, 14th April, long-sleeved navy and maroon stripe, reverse numbered 9; sold together with Cruyff newspaper obituaries, jersey material bears some marks Liverpool beat Barcelona 1-1 and won the tie 2-1 on aggregate, reaching the Final where they beat Bruges 4-3 on aggregate. Hendrik Johannes Cruijff (Johan Cruyff, 1947-2016), widely regarded as one of the greatest and most prolific footballers of  the 20th century, enjoyed a playing career spanning 20 years from 1964 until 1984, during which he made 514 club appearances, scoring 290 goals for teams including Ajax, Barcelona and Feyenoord. He represented the Netherlands on 48 occasions, scoring 33 goals.Another Barcelona jersey from the same match, part of the Phil Neal collection, was sold at Christie's Auction 29th September 2000.Provenance: previously on display at the Bobby Keetch-owned 'Football Football' themed restaurant in Haymarket, London, from 1996 to 1998.
