Two rare tickets for Liverpool Races and Grand National Steeplechase 1915, inscribed LIVERPOOL RACES AND GRAND NATIONAL STEEPLECHASE, 1915, COUNTY STAND RESERVED SEAT ANNUAL TICKET, with compartment and seat numbers 28 & 29 handwritten in black ink; sold together with seven assorted Aintree card swing badges from the 1950s comprising two Owners' & Trainers' Stand for Spring 1950 Liverpool Races, a gentleman's complimentary fourth day badge for the1952 Autumn meeting and one for the1953 Spring meeting, two gentlemen's complimentary third day badges for the 1954 Autumn meeting and one Aintree 1956 Midsummer Meeting 'Trade' badge for a motor racing fixture (9) The 1915 Grand National was the last to be run at Aintree during World War I before it was transferred to Gatwick, also being notable for the fact that the winning owner was, for the first time in its history, a woman - Lady Nelson - whose Ally Sloper ridden by the legendary Jack Anthony won by two lengths.
