Tony Lema golf 1964 open champion scarce original vintage ink autograph,very scarce original ink signature of Tony Lema inscribed ‘Golfingly Tony Lema’ central to a piece of plain card size 2 ¾” x 2 ¼” lightly mounted beneath a picture of Tony Lema holding the open championship trophy (the claret jug), which he won in 1964, overall size 8 ¼ by 5 ¼in., very good clean conditionAnthony David Lema (February 25, 1934 – July 24, 1966) was an American professional golfer who rose to fame in the mid-1960s and won a major title, the 1964 open championship at the old course at St Andrews in Scotland. He tragically died two years later at age 32 in an aircraft accident near Chicago.
