A twenty-one years long service (1878-1899) presentation to the Secretary of Park Place Cricket Club in the form of a silver gentleman's inkstand,hallmarked John Grinsell & Sons, London, and with the slightly earlier date of 1895, retailer's stamp for Wilson & Gill, Regent Street, London, the stand inscribed PARK PLACE CRICKET CLUB, PRESENTED TO THOS. J. PARNELL, HON. SEC., BY LEONARD NOBLE, PRESIDENT, IN RECOGNITION OF THE SERVICES RENDERED BY HIM TO THE CLUB FOR MANY YEARS, AUGUST 24th 1899, the hinged silver lids of the glass inkpots dated 1878, 1899, 23 by 12cm.
