George Edwards signed photograph of the Wales team strolling Rhyl promenade prior to the match with Scotland at Wrexham on 19th October 1946, b&w press photograph, signed in ink, reverse stamped, 7 by 5in.; sold with two additional b&w photographs showing the players outside their hotel with the Mayor of Rhyl George Edwards (1920-2008) played for Swansea, Birmingham City and Cardiff City during a career interrupted by the War. He won 12 caps for Wales and made his full international debut in this match - the first peacetime meeting between the two countries after WW II - which ended in a 3-1 victory for Wales.
