John Frederick Herring, Jnr. (British, 1815-1907) FARMYARD SCENEoil on canvas, signed J.F. Herring, undated, gilt frame, overall 20.5 by 25.5cm. condition is fair to good, with wear, staining and losses to the gilt frame. The oil on board is good with no obvious damage, some lines/scratches on the bottom right hand corner running from lower frame to right side frame, hard to picture, seen when looking at an angle, think possibly below the oil  Gallery labels to backboard reading "Richard Green (Fine Paintings) Ltd, Artist John Frederick Herring Jnr. Farmyard Scene signed. Panel 6 x 8"; and Reeves & Sons, artists' colourmen, manufacturers of drawing pencils, wholesale stationers, Cheapside."Provenance: from the Lester Piggott Collection.
