Tony Dunne green Republic of Ireland international football cap 1964-65 inscribed IRELAND V POLAND (DUBLIN) AND SPAIN (DUBLIN), dated to peak, the interior with a name tag inscribed in blue biro A.DUNNE Provenance: Bonham's 5th October 2011, lot 712 Anthony ''Tony'' Peter Dunne (b.1941) former Irish and left back footballer for Manchester United FC, winning 33 international caps for the republic of Ireland between 1962 and 1975 with his debut against Austria on 8th April 1962. He played for Shelbourne, Dublin between 1958 and 1960 with 19 appearances and scoring once, helping Shels win the FAI Youth Cup in 1959 and the FAI Cup in 1960. Moving to Manchester United in 1960 until 1973 with 530 appearances scoring twice, with wins in the 1963 FA Cup, 1965 and 1967 English Football League First Division championships and 1968 European Cup. Then moving to Bolton Wanderers from 1973 to 1979 with 170 appearances, helping them win the Football League Second Division in 1977-78 and then Detroit Express in 1979 making 12 appearances. Going on to manage Steinkjer FK, Norway from 1982 50 1983.
