Boxing programme for the Joe Frazier v Buster Mathias in the Heavyweight Title Fight at Madison Square Gardens on 4th March 1968, In April 1967 Mohammed Ali forfeited the title by refusing to serve in the US army, the boxing organisations could not agree so the N.B.C ordered a straight flight in which Frazier beat Mathis, the referee stopped the fight in round 11, also on the bill were Nino Benvenuti v Emile Griffith in the Middleweight Title Fight, in which Benvenuti beat Griffith on point in 15 rounds.
