A blue Italy No.9 international jersey circa 1961-1963, long-sleeved; sold with scans from a newspaper articles at the time showing John Charles donating this shirt to a charity auction (2) This jersey was from the collection of John Charles who played in Italy in two spells for Juventus and AS Roma. It is not known from whom Charles gained this jersey, probably in exchange for one of his own Wales international shirts. However, this would have been a private capacity as opposed to after a match as Charles was never involved in a Wales v Italy shirt during his playing career.
