Cliff Bastin's red Arsenal 1932 F.A. Cup Final jersey, by Bukta, neck label inscribed PRESENTED TO A GOOD SPORTSMAN BY TOM WEBSTER, white collar, the badge with AFC monogram, football motif and dated 1932 In the 1932 F.A. Cup Final Arsenal were defeated 2-1 by Newcastle United. It became known as the ''over the line'' final when later published press photographs evidently showed that the ball had gone out of play before United's winger Jimmy Richardson crossed the ball for Jack Allen to cancel out Bob John's 15th minute strike for Arsenal. In the second half Allen scored again to seal victory for the Magpies.
