George Best green Northern Ireland No.11 international jersey worn in the match v Scotland at Windsor Park, Belfast, 18th April 1970, long-sleeved; sold together with two photocopied press cuttings regarding a boy who played for Hillsborough Junior Football Club who had been given George Best's shirt by the Northern Ireland team coach driver. The same driver also used to coach the junior football team to matches, one of the clippings has a photograph showing the young lad wearing this shirt; the lot also contains an email from the Irish FA identifying the No.11 shirt to have been from the Scotland home international 18th April 1970; match programme; and a limited edition print of George Best wearing this style of Northern Ireland jersey Provenance: Bought at Bonham's 19th November 2008 as lot 541.
