Derek Hennin's match-worn white No.4 Bolton Wanderers 1958 F.A. Cup Final jersey v Manchester United, short-sleeved, the cloth badge bearing the Bolton crest and inscribed 1958, F.A. CUP FINAL, blue No.4 to the reverse; sold together with a group of five shirt/blazer from Hennin's career, FA County Youth Winners 1949, three styles of FA. Youth internationals badges and a St Helens Town FC issue; the lot also including a Cup Final programme and a Lofthouse-signed b&w photo of the team with the Cup (8) Derek Hennin (1931-1989) was born at Prescot, Lancashire. The wing-half joined Bolton Wanderers in 1949, having already been capped for England at Youth International level. He went onto making 164 League appearances with a career highlight being a 1958 F.A. Cup winner's medal in 1958. In this famous final Bolton's opponents were Matt Busby's Manchester United whose team just three months earlier had been decimated in the Munich Air Disaster. Bolton won 2-0 with both goals being scored by Nat Lofthouse. Provenance: Purchased at Bonham's 25th February 2009 as lot 134.
