John Paddy Carstairs (1910-1970) CRICKET MATCH signed, watercolour & gouache, 52 by 70cm., mounted, framed & glazed, overall 83 by 102cm. The scene does not appear to be English, and is possibly on the French Riviera where the artist spent time painting, with views of Nice and St Tropez etc. Carstairs was a British film and TV director and is best remembered for the Series The Saint starring Roger Moore.
