Arthur Booth Yorkshire County Cricket Club cap awarded in 1946, blue with white rose, named inside ARTHUR BOOTH; sold together with a book ''Yorkshire's 22 Championships 1893-1946'' by E.L. Roberts (2) Arthur Booth (1902-1974) was an orthodox slow left-arm bowler, and a lower-order right-handed batsman. He made his county debut in 1931 but did not establish a place in the team. During the first full-season after the War Booth was recalled to fill the gap left by the sad death of Hedley Verity and was a first XI regular in 1946 at the age of 43, winning his county cap and helping Yorkshire win the County Championship title. He finished top of the season's bowling averages taking 111 wickets at an average of 11.61. In 1947 an illness effectively finished Booth's First Class career.
