A good collection of 22 football magic lantern slides, many relating to Sheffield United Football Club and by the acclaimed local pioneer photographer H. Jasper Redfern circa 1900, including a group of four featuring the Sheffield United v Derby County F.A. Cup Final 15th April 1899, comprising an evocative crowd scene with some spectators without tickets perched high in trees beyond the stadium; two match action photographs one showing a cameraman taking moving images from behind a goal-line; the other some early arriving spectators enjoying a pint in the front row of the grandstand, each 3 1/4in. square; other slides including match-action included the 1899 F.A. Cup semi-final v Liverpool, a coloured slide of the Sheffield United 1902 F.A. Cup winning team, four of the glass slides are cracked; the group also including a rare image of the famous goalkeeper Bill ''Fatty'' Foulkes posing at the crease in the summer of 1900 when he played four first-class cricket matches for Derbyshire CCC; there is also a team-group of the Nottingham Forest team who won the F.A. Cup in 1898, and two slides featuring scenes at the Crystal Palace but they are not by Redfearn, one of which is believed to have taken at the 1899 F.A. Cup Final
