Johnson captured 109 Test wickets at an average of 29.19 and as a lower order batsman made precisely 1,000. He captained the Australian team in 17 Tests. Johnson was part of Bradman's 1948 'invincibles' tour of England and played in 4 Tests, taking 7 wickets, scoring 51 runs and taking 5 catches.
