A pen & ink drawing commemorating the victory of Manna and Steve Donoghue in the 1925 Derby, indistinctly signed with initials, 20.5 by 25.5cm., framed; sold with a photograph of Manna & Donoghue winning the Derby with signature of the jockey reproduced in the plate, framed, 51 by 55cm. (2) Following his 2,000 Guineas win, Mann won the Derby by a then record distance of eight lengths. The colt was bred in Ireland, owned by Mr Henry E. Morriss, trained at Beckhampton by Fred Darling and ridden by Steve Donoghue. Manna was retired after breaking down in his Triple Crown bid in the St Leger. At stud he produced the 2,000 Guineas winner Colombo.
