Grenoble 1968 World Ice Hockey Championship winner's medal, awarded to an unknown Soviet player, gold plated-bronze, by Huguenin, featuring a goal minder, the World medal 60mm. diameter, inscribed CHAMPIONNAT DU MONDE, WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS In 1968 the Olympic, World and European Ice Hockey Titles were all decided simultaneously during the ice hockey tournament held at the Grenoble Winter Olympic Games. The Soviet Union claimed each title. Their players would have received three medals, one from the IOC, and two from the ice hockey authorities. The European medal had the same design as the world medal but was 10mm smaller in diameter.
