London 2012 Olympic Stadium athletics track Lane No.8 marking, a section of the red vulcanized rubber dual layer athletics track installed by the Italian manufacturer Mondo, removed from its position at the termination of the sprint track beyond the 100m & 110m (hurdles) starts, bearing the 'No.8' lane marking in white in the ''2012Headline'' typeface designed by Gareth Hague for the London 2012 Games, the first time that an Olympic running track was marked with anything other than generic Arabic numerals, measurement approx. 120 by 100cm.; sold with a certificate of authenticity issued by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and the Mayor of Newham (2) Great Britain's Christina Ohuruogu won a silver medal from Lane 8 running in the women's 400m; whilst Jamaica's Warren Weir won a bronze medal running from Lane 8 in the men's 200m at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Jessica Ennis (Great Britain) who won the gold medal in the women's heptathlon got her competition under way on day 1 with a World Heptathlon Best Time of 12.54 secs. in the 100m Hurdles running in Lane 8.
