London 2012 Olympic Stadium long jump/triple jump runway filler section, used on one of the two runways that were employed at the Games, the filler section inserted into the recessed gap created when either the long jump or triple jump take off board system was removed from the runway depending on which event was being performed and thereby creating a flush level runway, the runway and sand pit nearest the running track was used for the finals, the other located nearer the spectator seating was used in tandem with the other during the qualification rounds to speed up the process, it is not known from which runway this filler section was removed, the section with installation/removal holes and grooves and applied with the same surface material as the runway proper, measurement approx. 120 by 29cm.; sold with a certificate of authenticity issued by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and the Mayor of Newham (2) The men's long jump gold medal was won by Great Britain's Greg Rutherford. The women's gold medallist was Brittney Reese of the USA. The men's triple jump winner was Christian Taylor of the USA, with the women's equivalent won by Olga Rypakova of Kazakhstan. In the men's decathlon and on his way to the gold medal Ashton Eaton (USA) produced the longest jump in the event of 8.03m. In the women's hepthathlon, the Russian bronze medallist Tatyana Chernova jumped longest recording 6.54m, with Great Britain's eventual gold medal winner Jessica Ennis producing the second longest jump of 6.48m. At the Paralympics the men's long jump gold medallists were Ruslan Katyshev F11 (Ukraine), Luis Felipe Gutierrez F13 (Cuba), Jose Expositi F20 (Spain), Roman Pavlyk F36 (Ukraine), Gocha Khugaev F37-38 (Russia), Markus Rehm F42-44 (Germany) & Ming Davis F46 (USA). In the women's long jump the gold medallists comprised Oksana Zubkovska F11-12 (Ukraine), Ilse Hayes F13 (South Africa), Karolina Kucharczyk F20 (Poland), Margarita Goncharova F37-38 (Russia), Kelly Cartwright F42-44 (Austrakia) & Nikol Rodomakina F46 (Russia). In the men's triple jump the gold medallists were Denis Gulin F11 (Russia), Oleg Panyutin (Azerbaijan) & Liu Fuliang F46 (China).
