Carlisle Lawn Tennis Club: a large collection of amateur and professional photographs capturing action at the annual tournament during the 1906-08 seasons, the collection extends to more than 30 photographs of players and officials, ranging from postcard sized images to A5 size and a fine 35 x 22 cms. photo showing all the competitors posed outside the Carlisle (Cumberland) clubroom during the 1906 tournament. All the photographs are mounted upon 10 double-sided, stiff card pages, which have been removed from a family album. The collection also contains photos of football and hockey teams all of which appear to feature Mr. H. Aitken. Many of the images feature Aitken and Australian player Poidevin playing each other at the tournament
