George Finch Mason (1850-1915) THE CRICKET STEEPLECHASE (A PAIR) signed, titled and each work sub-titled ''Stumped'' and ''How's that Umpire?, the first title a little obscure but probably a pun on the horse and rider who have uprooted a hurdle, the other clearer as a jockey involved in a close finish is W.G. Grace whose silks are in the ''egg and bacon'' colours of the M.C.C., both images 25.5 by 36cm., 10 by 14in., both uniformly mounted, framed and glazed
