The number cloths worn by Frankel and Bullet Train during their public racecourse gallop at Newmarket prior to racing on Saturday 29th September 2012, THE FRANKEL CLOTH DOUBLE-SIGNED BY SIR HENRY CECIL & LORD GRIMTHORPE, THE BULLET TRAIN CLOTH SIGNED BY SIR HENRY CECIL, signatures in silver marker pen, both dark blue number cloths inscribed NEWMARKET, the Frankel numbered 1, Bullet Train 2; sold together with a signed letter of provenance for the Frankel cloth and a related photograph (4) On Cambridgeshire Day at Newmarket 29th September 2012 Frankel warmed up for the final race of his glittering career with a public racecourse gallop over nine furlongs with his long time work companion and half-brother Bullet Train, and by Specific Gravity. Such was the extraordinary popularity of Frankel that barely a vantage point was left unoccupied for the work out ran an hour before the first race start time on the Rowley Mile Course and generous applause broke out in the grandstands as Frankel passed the finishing line. Connections decided to recreate race conditions by parading the horses in the paddock, while Queally was wearing owner Prince Khalid Abdullah's silks, and hence the specially prepared number cloths.
