Such was the extraordinary popularity of Frankel that barely a vantage point was left unoccupied for the work out ran an hour before the first race start time on the Rowley Mile Course and generous applause broke out in the grandstands as Frankel passed the finishing line. Connections decided to recreate race conditions by parading the horses in the paddock, while Queally was wearing owner Prince Khalid Abdullah's silks, and hence the specially prepared number cloths.
