The No.2 number cloth worn by Frankel in his victory in the Dubai Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket 16th October 2010, DOUBLE-SIGNED BY SIR HENRY CECIL, LORD GRIMTHORPE & TOM QUEALLY, the first two signatures in silver marker pen, the Queally signature in black marker pen and providing poor contrast with the royal blue ground, bearing sponsor's logo and inscribed 2, FRANKEL, DUBAI ; sold together with a signed letter of provenance and a related photograph (3) Frankel's final start of his two-year-old season was in the prestigious Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on 16th October 2010, his first race at Group 1 level. Hyped as the 2-y-o race of the century, Frankel's opponents included two other unbeaten colts Dream Ahead, the 9 lengths winner of the Middle Park Stakes, and Godolphin's Champagne Stakes winner Saamidd nicknamed 'Pegasus' at his stables. Frankel was restrained by Queally before moving up to take the lead a furlong from the finish and win with a fair bit in hand by two and a quarter lengths from Roderic O'Connor who would subsequently win the Criterium International and then the Irish 2,000 Guineas as a three-year-old.
