A collection of 1953 Coronation memorabilia including items relating to the Derby winner ''Pinza'', comprising: Epsom Derby Race Card, no writing on any of the pages; a scan of an original Gordon Richards-signed photo of Pinza with the winning Jockey up; a horse brass of Pinza inscribed with details of the winning owner, trainer & jockey; a horse brass of The Queen in her Coronation Crown dated 1953; a very small brass bound booklet containing 12 photos of the Queen relating to the Coronation; 2 spoons (1 in original 1953 envelope of issue); and six First Day Postal Covers relating to Queen's Jubilees and Her Majesty's love of horses At Epsom Pinza started 5/1 joint favourite and beat the Queen's colt Aureole. The race attracted a huge crowd, including the Queen (in her coronation year). Ridden by the twenty-five times champion jockey Gordon Richards who in all that time had never won the Blue Riband of the Turf.
