Jody Scheckter signed Christmas card, Wolf and McLaren F1 memorabilia, comprising a 1977 Christmas card bearing his ink signature and the personal dedication 'To Sailor, thank you for all your help this year', a 1977 Wolf Racing Team card signed 'pp Walter', a 3½ by 5in. colour photo of him in the 1977 Wolf F1 car, plus photocopies of a three-page article mentioning 'Sailor' that originally appeared in a 1978 issue of The Autocar, plus a Corgi Mettoy model of the Yardley McLaren M19A in which he made his F1 debut at the end of 1972, in its original box (5). At the end of 1976, Canadian businessman Walter Wolf purchased Frank Williams' F1 team and, with Jody Scheckter as the sole driver, they confounded critics by winning the first Grand Prix the following year. A further two victories ensured he finished second in the 1977 World Championship and, after moving to Ferrari, he finally became World Champion in 1979.
