Valentino Musetti 1970s race-worn Bell helmet, two racesuits and accessories, the white Bell helmet with 1970 Snell No.A599259, darkened visor, brown Nomex helmet skirt and balaclava, with radio intercom and life support connector, lining support foam perished; two Nomex racesuits by 'Formula One' of Carnaby Street, each bearing his name and blood group embroidered on the right breast, one design in orange and black, the other red with white stripes on the left-hand side, also Champion and Shell logo patches with a Goodyear logo patch across the back, two pairs of orange Formula One Nomex gauntlet gloves, a Nomex balaclava, a pair of Nomex driving boots and a pair of Westover driving boots, sold with a digital image of the helmet in use (qty.). In the 1970s Valentino Musetti was well known to spectators as the driver who did the stunts in the film 'The Italian Job', the original version starring Michael Caine. Although this stunt work paid for his motor racing, filming schedules regularly disrupted any championship chances, though driving the Dave Price Racing March-Ford V6, he came close to winning the 1977 Shell Sport series, in which these items were used.
