Two original French press photographs of Bill Tilden and Jean Borotra in action at the opening match of the Davis Cup Final at Rolland Garros 25th July 1930, both 7 by 5in., backstamped and captioned to reverse; sold together with a French family group holiday photograph taken on a tennis court at Vernet-les-Bains in August 1892, inscribed and dated in ink to the reverse of the stiff card album mounting (3) Bill Tilden won this match in four sets but it was to prove the only point won by the USA with France winning all the other matches to lift the Cup by a score of 4-1.
