A scarce collection of 10 early lawn tennis magazines, the collection includes 5 individual (unbound) copies of Lawn Tennis & Croquet. from 1904, complete with buff coloured wrappers, and 5 issues of Lawn Tennis & Badminton from 1906, two of the 1906 issues also include the very rare and original illustrated supplement cartoons by Charles Ambrose, the first being of Frank Riseley, the second, of Dr. Wilberforce Eaves, the magazines contain a plethora of information concerning equipment, rackets, topical issues and tournaments both at home and in Europe, the magazines' Staples have disintegrated and cartoons are in fair condition for their age, with chips and bumps on various pages
