Cup Final in 1923, by Thomas Russell & Son, Liverpool, hallmarked Chester, 1922, serial no.5689, the interior inscribed PRESENTED TO, J.R. SMITH, COMMEMORATING, ASSOC. CUP FINAL, 28/4/23, BOLTON 2 WEST HAM 0 Jack Smith was a Scottish centre-forward who made 147 League appearances for Bolton Wanderers between 1922 and 1928. He also helped Bolton win the Cup again in 1926. His son and grandson also played football for Bolton Wanderers, Jack Denver Smith and Barry Smith. For further information on the 1923 F.A.
