Two unnumbered and unnamed blue & white striped Manchester United jerseys prepared for the 1996 Umbro Cup, a long-sleeved and a short-sleeved, both with sleeve badging inscribed ''The Umbro International''; sold together with a Peter Schmeichel signed colour photograph, three photographs of the 1998-99 Treble winning squad (unsigned), a Manchester United compliments slip and a branded carrier bag (8) This material was sent by Sir Alex Ferguson to the family of a Manchester United employee living in her homeland of Libya. The Umbro Cup tournament took place at Nottingham Forest's City Ground. There were four teams all of whom Umbro supplied shirts to - Manchester United, Ajax, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest. On August 3rd United were beaten by Ajax 2-1. The following day United won the 3rd place match beating Forest 3-1. Chelsea beat Ajax 2-0 in the final. These shirts, and the other contents of this lot, were sent by Sir Alex Ferguson to the family of a Manchester United employee living in her homeland of Libya.
