The green and white hooped Celtic jersey worn by Willie Wallace in the 1970 European Cup Final v Feyenoord, long-sleeved, mounted, framed and glazed with title plaque, 98 cm., 38 ? in. square. Provenance: Christie's 30th March 2000 lot 21. Having been the first British team to lift the European Cup in 1967, Celtic progressed to the final again in 1970 playing Feyenoord at the San Siro in Milan. After 90 minutes the scores were tied 1-1. Four minutes from the end of extra-time Scottish hearts were broken when the Swedish international striker Ove Kindvall scored the winning goal for the Dutch champions. Willie Wallace was one of the immortal ''Lisbon Lions'' of 1967 and the inside forward, who had been signed by Jock Stein in 1966, played a total of 234 games for Celtic scoring 135 goals.
