A certificated pair of Evander Holyfield boxing trunks, red satin with black trim, inscribed HOLYFIELD, REAL DEAL; sold with a signed letter of authenticity dated 16th July 1997; and a dealer's COA (3) The letter states that these trunks were obtained from the son of a prominent boxing promoter who had a collection of Evander Holyfield memorabilia. But it cannot be confirmed if they were fight worn but at the least they would have been worn in training. They were bought by the present vendor at a sale at Bonham's Knightsbridge on 9th May 2000 as lot 56.
