An interesting and cleverly themed collection of football programmes relating to England's 1966 World Cup winning players, GORDON BANKS, League debut for Chesterfield v Colchester 29.11.58 & for his final League game, Stoke away at Liverpool 21.10.72, also his Testimonial v Manchester United; GEORGE COHEN, League debut Fulham v Liverpool 2.3.57 plus his Testimonial Night at Craven Cottage 10.11.69; NOBBY STILES, first match at Wembley, Schools' International v Wales 30.3.57 and final game for Manchester United at Coventry 13.4.71; JACK CHARLTON, final League game Leeds at Southampton 28.4.73; BOBBY MOORE, last game for West Ham at home v Norwich 1.1.74, England Youth international v Austria at Highbury 4.3.58, F.A. Youth Cup final West Ham v Blackburn at Ewood Park 4.5.59, First and last League games for Fulham v Middlesbrough (h) 19.3.74 (2 copies) and Blackburn (a) 14.5.77, and his Testimonial West Ham v Celtic 16.11.70; ALAN BALL, League debut Blackpool v Ipswich 20.8.62; ROGER HUNT, final game for Liverpool v Manchester United (h) 13.12.69, League debut for Bolton at Preston N.E. 26.12.69, and final League game Bolton v Rotherham 29.4.72; BOBBY CHARLTON, Manchester United debut v Charlton Athletic 6th October 1956, debut for Preston North End v Plymouth 17.8.74 and Testimonial Manchester United v Celtic 18.9.72, the lot also including a signed photograph of Charlton taking to the field for his last appearance at Wembley in the Common Market Football Match; GEOFF HURST, League debut West Ham away at Notts Forest 27.2.60, and his post-war record six goal game West Ham v Sunderland 19.10.68; MARTIN PETERS, Youth International England v Germany at Northampton 31.3.62 (the line-up including Wolfgang Weber, he and Peters were destined to meet again in the 1966 World Cup final), and a Schools' International also against Germany 25.4.59; the collection continues with three programmes where the exact 11 England players from the 1966 World Cup final took to the field again in subsequent internationals v Northern Ireland at Windsor Park, and v Czechoslovakia and Wales at Wembley (to add to the three times they lined up in the World Cup, in the q/f, s/f & final during which time they never tasted defeat winning 5 and drawing 1), the collection concludes with a programme for when the England starting XI changed for the first time since the World Cup (Greaves reintroduced) in the famous defeat against Scotland in 1967, bringing to an end an England unbeaten run of 19 games from 10.11.65 to 15.4.67
