A 15ct. gold & enamel 'War of the Roses' Rugby League inter-county championship winner's medal 1924-25, named to A. BROUGH representing Lancashire, in original Fattorini fitted case, 18.4gr. In the 1925 'War of the Roses' match Lancashire beat Yorkshire 26-10 at St Helens. This medal was awarded to Oldham's Albert Brough who kicked two goals in the game. In season 1924-25 and in addition to this Inter County winner's medal, Brough was awarded winner's medals for his appearance in the Challenge Cup final when Oldham beat Hull Kingston Rovers 16-3, and in the Lancashire Cup final after Oldham defeated St Helens Recs 10-0. Albert Brough was also capped twice for Great Britain and won a second Challenge Cup winner's medal in 1926-27.
