A cricket bat signed by the West Ham United & Millwall football teams relating to a summertime cricket match at Theydon Bois Cricket Club circa 1972, signatures including Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, John Charles, Ronnie Boyce, Harry Redknapp, Martin Peters, Barry Ferguson, John Sissons, Rob Jenkins, Ron Greenwood, Jimmy Lindsey, Billy Bonds, Brian Dear, Derek Posse, Harry Cripps, Gordon Bolland and others Won in a fund raising raffle. Brian Dear, Ronnie Boyce & Martin Peters played cricket regularly at Theydon Bois CC in Essex during football's close season. Geoff Hurst was a fine player who appeared in one first class cricket match for Essex CCC before concentrating full time on his football career. The game is believed to have been organised by Brian Dear between two of his former clubs.
